Our Approach

How we think
about play.

Otto isn't a class you drop into. It's a philosophy about how little humans grow — and how families can grow with them.

Variety builds brains

One million neural connections form every second in the early years — fueled by new sounds, textures, movements, and ideas. We design Otto so kids encounter a wide variety of inputs across modalities, not the same activity every week.

Intentional play

Every theme, prop and prompt is chosen with developmental purpose — gross motor, fine motor, language, social-emotional, sensory regulation. It looks like fun. It is fun. It's also doing real work.

Child-led, parent-supported

We don't push kids past where they are. Some kids dive into the slime, others watch first. Both are learning. Parents are welcome on the mat or on the sofa — your presence is the point.

The Big Idea

1 million neural connections form every second.

Every texture, sound, movement, and idea your child experiences is wiring tomorrow's problem-solver, creator, and confident learner. Otto is designed to feed every one of those connections — through every sense, every modality, every stage of early childhood.

We started with Sensory because it's foundational. We're building toward a place where one membership unlocks every kind of play a growing brain craves.

Operating principles

The non-negotiables that shape every class, every theme, every space.

01

Sensory first, then everything else

Sensory experience is how little brains map the world. We started with Sensory Play because it's the substrate everything else — language, math, social skills, emotional regulation — is built on top of.

02

One village, many modalities

A child needs music, movement, art, stories, nature, quiet, and mess. Today most families chase those across five different studios with five different schedules. We're building so it can be one.

03

Mess is the method

We don't apologize for the paint on the floor. Texture, friction, slipping, squelching — that's the curriculum. We handle the cleanup so you can focus on the kid.

04

Slow is fast

We don't rush kids into activities. Curiosity in motion is still curiosity. Familiarity builds comfort, comfort builds focus. The child who circled the room for three sessions is often the one painting first by week four.

The Otto Philosophy

We believe play is the most important work of childhood. Five values guide everything we do.

Intentional Play

We play with a purpose, thanks to experiences that are proven to support growth and development.

Sensory Exploration

We view the five senses as a playground for connection, play, and development.

Imagination & Creativity

We encourage playing pretend, leaning into fantastical themes, and experiencing the world as limitless.

Community Connection

This is a place for you to gather and grow with like-minded families. Welcome to your village.

Early Skill-Building

Our activities are building blocks for gross motor skills that kids will use for a lifetime.

Come see what we mean.

Words can only do so much. The best way to understand Otto is to step on the mat.
